The Magnolia Memories series is inspired by my love for the color blue and its striking contrast with a diverse color palette and the visual texture of the magnolia tree. This series celebrates growth and healing, visually representing the memories I cherished under the magnolia tree. The flower's essence captivated me, taking me back to my childhood memories of growing up in the Dominican Republic and spending time with my family. During the Spring of 2021, I spent countless hours under the magnolia tree, drawing and writing about the people who inspired me to reflect on my life's journey. My admiration for this tree led me on a journey of happiness and sadness, a visual story I will continue to tell through my art.
